Shipping Labels and Placards

Transporters must comply with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and place proper identification and classification of hazardous material during transporting and shipping. Properly labeling chemicals will alert motorist and emergency responders of the presence of hazardous materials. DOT Placards must be placed on each end and each side of the transportation vehicle, per DOT and must be on bulk packages, or containers containing non-bulk packages.
